Dr. Niranjan Prasad

Dr. Niranjan Prasad served the Nation in supporting the Indian Armed Forces for Three and Half decades in DRDO, Ministry of Defence as Sr. Defence Scientist and Additional Director Rank.

Under the mentorship of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam he completed various National Mission Mode Projects, including its Policy, Planning & Implementations, Project Coordinations, Resource & Manpower Management for Programmes/Projects, Defence Equipments Test & Evaluation (T&E) Quality Control and Audit Reviews. Served as Chairman, Recruitment & Assessment Boards, provided Projects oriented Technical Trainings and for Carrier Progressions of Project Workforce.

He spearheaded as Leader of Radar & Electronic Warfare (EW) T&E through the establishment of a new DRDO Test Range “National Open Air Range (NOAR)” in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and getting it dedicated to the Nation for its operational utility by the President of India, Smt Draupadi Murmu Ji.

He served in the Executive Committee of IETE, Hyderabad Centre (2008-16), Governing Council IETE New Delhi (2020-23) as Member and as Committee Chairman, Skills Development and Industrial Coordination Committee. Serving as Member, IE(India) Telangana State Centre as EC Member. Serving past four years as Member LITD 05, LITD 12, BIS, Govt. of India; as Adviser, Blockchain For Productivity Forum (BFPF), New Delhi, National Adviser, Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Shilp Kendra (An Enterprise under the Ministry of MMSE, GoI), New Delhi; Board Advisor, Infitron Advanced Systems Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad; Principal Adviser, India Water Foundation (New Energy), New Delhi, which is a CSO in Consultative Status with United Nations (UN) ECOSOC & Accredited to United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations.

Guided several students for their BE/BTech.,ME/MTech, PhD Degrees in Subject areas of Defence Products Design & Development, Modeling and Simulations in the areas of Modern Technologies.
