Dr. Ajay Kumar

Dr. Kumar (F-037192), Chartered Engineer, FIETE, PhD (CSE), IETE Alumnus, was the Head of Broadband and Access Technology at the Advance Regional Telecom Training Centre (ARTTC) in Ranchi, Jharkhand Telecom Circle. Worked for 27 years at DoT/BSNL and has over 15 years of teaching experience at the Apex Telecommunication training center. He is a veteran of the Indian Army (EME), a former faculty member at MCEME, Secundrabad (1986-1992), an IETE GC Member (2019-2022) and the Zonal Mentor of the IETE East Zone (2019-2022), and the Chairman of the IETE Membership Committee (2021-2022). He served IETE Hyderabad Centre in multiple capacities, including as an ex-executive member, honorary treasurer (2009-2013), and honorary secretary (2013-2016). He was also the former chairman of the Ranchi Centre. He organized numerous international and national conferences, including ones in Kathmandu, Nepal, and Zonal seminar at the IIT, Guwahati. His areas of interest include the advancement of IPv6, data communication, broadband and access technology, and the Internet of Things. He is a member of numerous Indian professional societies. He has lectured on NGN and VLSI design, IPv6 and 5G technology, and is a master trainer for IPv6 and 5G technology.
